My mom had worked with the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company that I saw on the news for the longest time.
I remember Mr. Smith coming beach condo to repair the heating system when it failed to start or the young Mr. Willy, whom I liked coming over just before Summer to finetune the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system. It was, therefore, shocking to hear that mom’s Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company was involved in some nefarious activities. I called my mother only to find out that it was true. Three years after the owner died, the company was sold off to some young chaps from different countries. These folks were interested in their profits & felt that the company was sleeping on its potential by insisting on serving its customers diligently. Many customers had since moved on to other caring service providers. Most of the workers had since moved, with some starting their little Heating, Ventilation, & A/C businesses. So it happens that the new owners hire cheap labor without considering the experience or expertise of the workers. They also imported affordable Heating, Ventilation, & A/C spare parts & were not keen on customer feedback or follow-up. A year & a half on, loyal customers had ditched their services, & the company was becoming desperate. The new owners swiftly lost their local customer base to new competitors & desperately wanted to attract people back. So they embarked on a lucrative however unrealistic campaign to see them offer Heating, Ventilation, & A/C systems half the price. Many people who fell for this scam did not realize that the company took ancient units, revamped them, & put them on the market as new. Less than various months after purchasing & installing these units, homeowners complained that the units broke down, & also various had to start treating respiratory complications. A closer look into the issue revealed the scam leading to the company officials being arrested.
