I really, honestly thought that with twin girls, they’d just naturally want to share a room together.
I mean the Brady sisters weren’t even twins and yet they all shared a room.
But perhaps I was so wrong about my twins because I take my cues on parenting from a 70’s sitcom. Seriously though, I thought the girls would want to share a room when we bought our home years and years ago. The place was in great shape other than the heating and cooling. It was passed its prime and we had to replace that old HVAC equipment. But what we have is great now. The HVAC unit is super efficient, reliable and well made. However, I learned that an existing HVAC unit is sized to the volume of the house. When you add more house, you can’t automatically expect that same HVAC unit to do the heating and cooling in the addition. I learned this because it became so clear that the kids all had to have separate bedrooms. That meant my wife and I had to build an addition. And that addition would need it’s own HVAC. Honestly though, it turned out just great really. The girls each have their own room as does our son. Plus, we now have a great new master bedroom with our own ductless heat pump to take care of the heating and cooling. This HVAC technology is wonderful because it’s so powerful and yet so efficient as well. And we can also control the ductless heat pump remotely as well.
