Although it may not always seem like it, your web design really does matter, and I had to learn this the hard way.
As a business owner, I have made a ton of mistakes.
But thankfully none of them were severe and I was able to learn a valuable lesson from those mistakes. One of my main mistakes was having a basic website for so long. I made sure that I had done everything else right, but one of the things I ignored for a long time was my website. Partially because I underestimated the importance of the look of your website and also because I didn’t want to have to face trying to fix my website. But overtime I noticed a slow decrease in the amount of customers I was getting, and my call volume went down with it. This was also around the time that the internet was really taking off, and that was probably one of the biggest reasons why there. I had to face the fact that my air conditioning business was going to fail if I didn’t do something. I had to go to a marketing company and ask for help, and thankfully for me, the marketing business was happy to help. One of the first things they told me was that I had to change my website. My website design was very unprofessional looking and I didn’t have basic online marketing that most websites should have like SEO. I could tell I was going to have to learn a lot, but I am willing to make the effort.
