Bob wasn’t into the idea of moving in with his daughter and her family. But, he was finding it hard to resist his grandkids. They kept calling to ask him to go stay with them at their home because they missed him a lot. He also knew that his daughter and her husband were a little worried about him. Bob was 79 years old and had fallen two months ago while getting out of the shower. Luckily, his housekeeper was around to call 911. He was rushed to the hospital when the discussion of moving intensified. Finally, he gave in and chose to sell his house. But, it required a few upgrades, including changing the central cooling and heating system. Bob had an old HVAC system which was about a decade old. It still made the house comfortable. However, he knew buyers would be searching for modern air conditioning in the house. His son-in-law helped him do plenty of the upgrades to make the house as enticing as possible. His daughter even went ahead to pick out an energy-efficient air conditioner. She insisted on getting an eco-friendly option that wasn’t cheap but added points to the house’s value. By the time they were done sprucing up the house, the AC team had come by to install the new air conditioner. Bob loved the replacement and regretted why he hadn’t changed the central cooling and heating system earlier. Probably it was just him being stubborn, yet he knew the previous air conditioner was on its last leg. The house looked beautiful, and they managed to sell it within a month of moving in with his family. Bob opted to put half of the money into a college fund for his grandkids.
