I’ve had multiple gym memberships in our life. Of course when I was younger, I went to the gym for other reasons. I wanted to get large & buff so I was beautiful to the ladies. And that motivation would wane after multiple weeks of trying to do our own version of body building. And I would revert back to standing on our butt in the a/c of our apartment, however yet, that 50 bucks would be debited from our account each month anyway. Those gym membership contracts were taxing back then. There was absolutely no getting out of them. It’s ironic that these afternoons, I look forward to not standing on our butt in the a/c & instead getting a work out. That’s quite a change. And it’s not for the ladies either. The fact is that our lady & partner is also our gym buddy. There is further irony here as well. These afternoons, I can join a gym for far less than what I could 25 years ago. And there’s no contract. What’s so funny about that is I don’t even go to any other gym than the one that is in our basement these afternoons. My fiance & I offered up on the gym due to Covid. And every one of us started one in our basement with used exercise device every one of us found locally online. The best part is that every one of us have perfect quality heating & air in this gym thanks to the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C dealer. They installed a ductless heat pump in the basement where I home gym is. And I have to say that the ductless heat pump beats all of the gyms I’ve ever been in when it comes to heating & cooling.
