I had been working in the heating supplier for about several years before my husbandy joined the supplier as the senior finance director.
At first, I didn’t suppose what working with his in the same supplier would be like.
A nice thing about this situation was that at least we’d not be working in the same department which was not supported by the HR policies of the corporation. I was an Heating and A/C professional for a few years, and some of the responsibilities besides supervising my team were helping with electric gas furnace replacements and executing gas furnace/heater tune-ups. I had been pushing for the supplier to set up a program that included training our heating servicemans and even having them graduate. It would be an apprentice program and needed funding. I had taken the heating company supplier plan to the supervisors however they had been dragging their feet. I assumed it was because they were also looking to emrue the best finance director. After my husbandy was emplotted , I had to present the same plan to his department. I explained that having our trained experts would ease the process of creating Heating and A/C supply stores. It would also increase our ratings in providing quality heat pump service. Statistics show that most homeowner solutions that have the same program are making profits by selling their heating device such as the ductless Heating and A/C, dual fuel systems plus other units. The trained experts would also benefit the supplier as they would be offering servicing to device such as the ductless heat pump to supply quality heating. After deliberating for a week, my supervisor called myself and others into his office to announce that my plan was accepted. In about 6 weeks, we graduated our first cohort which was a success for the whole corporation.
