This was the period of time my wife and I have patiently waited for. The housing market in our area is just absolutely booming. And after almost 30 years, we are ready to cash in on the investment we made in our family home. There were times when we considered moving. But we made some upgrades along the way and stayed. Now we are doing a big HVAC equipment upgrade in order to get our house sold. Over the years, we chose to add value to our house instead of selling it. And it looks like that choice was a good one. We are looking at more than tripling our original investment. The house has been paid for now for nearly 3 years. So the time to strike is now. It’s a bit of a weird, almost overwhelming feeling though. The HVAC upgrade that we have just completed is making the fact that we are selling our home very real to me. The new heating and cooling equipment is just the very latest in residential HVAC. It’s pretty remarkable really. There is so much HVAC technology in this house now. We went from very basic heating and cooling to just amazing residential HVAC in a couple of days. And it was a complete makeover with the ductwork being ripped out and replaced as well. There is a smart thermostat and zone controlled HVAC in this house now. And the HVAC unit is about the most efficient one can find on the market. Honestly, it sort of makes me wonder why we’re selling it because the quality heating and air has never been better. But a new chapter awaits and saying goodbye to this place is part of it.
