I didn't want to leave the dogs outside

Nick April 11, 2022

I knew it was going to be very cold and frigid on Tuesday night, so I decided to let the dog sleep inside of the house.

I don’t regularly let the dog sleep in the house, because I am terribly allergic to pet dander and hair.

It causes me to have watery eyes, sneezing, coughing, and trouble breathing. My kids wanted a dog and I agreed as long as the dog had a permanent home on the front porch. It was way too cold for the dog to stay out there, even with a space heater running. I let their dog sleep in the living room. I brought their space heater into the house and I set it up in the living room. We bought a special space heater for the dog. It is cool to the touch and it automatically shuts off if it is tipped over. That means there are very few risks of fire when using the machine. When the kids found out that I was going to let the dog sleep inside of the house, they wanted the dog to sleep in their bedroom. I absolutely denied that request. I did not want the dog upstairs in the bedrooms. In the morning when I woke up, I went to the kids bedroom to wake them up for school. As soon as I opened my son’s bedroom door, the dog started barking. He was sleeping right next to my son. Jack tried to tell me that the dog was really cold and he was keeping him warm by letting him sleep under the covers. My son was so cute and so serious that it was hard to get upset.
