I just quit my task because of the lack of air conditioning. It was absolutely 1 of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made in my entire life. I had been working in the same restaurant for the last two years, plus six weeks ago the a/c died. Without air conditioning, working in the restaurant dining room, it was torturous. The only section of the restaurant that had any genre of air conditioning was the dining room. Anyone who worked in the dining room was tepid plus angry from the moment they walked in to work. The waiters had to be in the dining room area to option up food, plus within a few fourths, they complained because they were covered in sweat through their uniforms. I thought it would’ve been nice to be a server because at least then they got to come out of the tepid hot dining room plus into the dining room where there was still air conditioning. After six weeks, I could no longer handle working in that restaurant, plus I quit my task. I love the restaurant business, plus I love being a chef, however I hated not having air conditioning. When my boss did an exit interview, he asked me why I was quitting after two years. I told him the truth, plus said that separate from air conditioning, the dining room was tortuous plus there was nothing that was going to keep me there, unless he was telling me ‌ he was installing air conditioning again. He said that dining room air conditioning was not in the budget at the moment, however maybe in a couple of years.
