I need cold air if I want a good night’s sleep.
It is one of the many requirements that I need in order for a good night’s rest.
I have struggled with insomnia for most of my life, and the frustrating thing is, it’s not so much the issue of falling asleep, it’s more of making sure everything is perfect in my environment so I can finally fall asleep. If even the slightest thing is off, sleeping is a nightmare for me. Endless tossing and turning all throughout the night. One of the most important things I need is cold air. Usually I have a fan in my room to not only give a cooling breeze, but to provide noise. But the fan is utterly useless if the air conditioning system doesn’t work in my home. Without the A/C system, the fan will only blow hot air. The HVAC machine broke down a few days ago, and even though I immediately called a HVAC business afterwards, they were busy and I would have to wait a week for my appointment. I am only on night 3 and I don’t know how I am going to last. I still have several more days to go, and I can just tell that I am not going to get any sleep during this time. I tried contacting my independent HVAC contractor who is a friend of mine, but she was busy too! It is bad enough to consider staying somewhere else if it means getting cold air conditioning. But I will most likely just wait.
