My wife and I stayed in the city on Wednesday night.
There was a show at the theater and it did not end until 11:00.
Both of us knew that we were going to be too tired to drive home after the show was over. We had to work the next morning in the city at 6:00 a.m. It made more sense for the two of us to stay in the city overnight. When my wife and I left the house on Wednesday morning, both of us packed an overnight bag. We went directly to the hotel when work was over and we only had about an hour before it was time for the show to begin. I worked all day in the conference center and I wanted to take a shower. I turned on the hot water, but it never warmed up. I tried the hot water in the sink and it wasn’t warm either. I called the hotel desk clerk to talk about the hot water problem and she hung up on me. I walked down to the front desk to give the person a piece of my mind, but there was a line of 10 people in front of the counter. By the time I reached the front desk to speak with the manager, my wife had texted me to say that the furnace wasn’t working either. There was no hot water and the furnace was broken down. We only had an hour before the show and there were so many problems that had to be fixed
