I work for a local HVAC company.
I have worked for the HVAC company for about two years now and for the most part I really like my job. However, there are times like any job that I hate it. The thing that I hate the most about my job is making house calls. When you walk into a customer’s house, they are usually really upset because their HVAC system isn’t working. It is very rare that you make a house call when the customer is in a good mood. I have also realized that most people do not keep their homes clean. I never thought of myself as a super clean person, but after making these HVAC house calls I know that I am. I went to one house last weekend and I think the owner of the house was a hoarder. There was so much garbage blocking the door to the HVAC unit that I had to ask the owner of the house to move it. It was really awkward and she had a really bad attitude about everything else after I asked her to move the trash. I really hope that one day I can move into a managing role at the HVAC company so can stop making house calls all the time. Having to make the house calls gives me really bad anxiety and I have told my boss this many times. I really hope that I will get a raise sometime soon!
