Tax return – radiant heated floors

Tax return – radiant heated floors

If you were going to get a big pile of cash, what would you do with it? Would you go on vacation? Would you pay off all of your student loans? Would you treat your parents to the dream home that they have always wanted? I think I would try to do all of those things.

I also would love to have my own little home, which was built just to my liking.

I think about it having big windows with lots of light. A large, open kitchen with lots of counter space. And the best HVAC system available on the market these days. I know, I know, that’s kind of a strange thing to be dreaming about. But when you’re as uncomfortable and most air temperatures as I am, you really do think about HVAC equipment more than one would imagine. I’ve been looking into zone controlled heating for years, drooling over the possibilities. I love the idea of having my own private temperature control where I can be perfectly comfortable in my favorite space. I don’t love the idea of paying an HVAC company to come in and install the whole system though. I’ve also looked into radiant heated floors for at least a decade now. I’m obsessed with this form of heating. Having grown up in the far north of the country, I know how cold floors can be in the morning. I also know how inefficient and drafty traditional forced air furnaces are when you’re running them all winter long. Radiant heated floors seem like the best option when it comes to warming up your home. I know for a fact that I would take the plunge and install a wonderful radiant heated floors / zone controlled heating and cooling system as soon as I got that pile of money. Here’s hoping that my tax return is huge this year.
