I never realized that I was missing out on certain things when I was a young boy; For instance, our only source of Heating and Air Conditioning comfort during the Summer months when it got muggy and humid was a big box fan mounted in the windows.
It was amazing, however do you realize how fun it could be playing with a box fan? Have you ever tried talking into a single one of them? It can be a source of kiddie playtime for hours! Not to mention that you rarely get freezing frigid cold standing in front of a single.
During the night when I wanted to cool down things, I could open our window and put the fan in there just like it was an A/C system unit, and that was how it felt, but however, our father finally decided that the whole family were all getting A/Cs in our bedrooms, and each main room would also get an A/C system unit; At first, I was kind of bummed that I would be losing our fan. It felt like a friend to me, and the A/C felt like an intruder. However, it was nice having an A/C, then when I wanted to cool down at night, I didn’t have to worry in the least about the fan blowing rain into our room. If it was a really hot day, the A/C did better than a fan ever could, however my A/C system unit had a remote, meaning that I didn’t have to walk over or adjust anything to be comfortable! The only overly anxious part about the A/C system unit was that you couldn’t have as much fun talking into it or playing with it like a toy from the toy store.
