So the wife and I found this beautiful cabin which is absolutely our dream home.
We’ve been desperate to get inside of it, as the house had been resting vacant for a few months now.
The two of us waited and waited, but at last, it finally went up for sale – however at a much lower cost! This was fate without question – Our dream house was going to be amazing inside, and half the cost the two of us originally expected! Well after a real estate agent took us inside, the two of us realized why so much was given for so little in return. Apparently, the area this house is located in isn’t particularly safe from theft. Anytime a house or cabin here is vacant, the air conditioner gets ripped out of place. The first thing to get stolen is the A/C unit, as people sell the cooling systems for a fine price through flea markets or other illegitimate ways. Once the A/C system goes, the copper piping with the plumbing system in the walls are taken out! In reality, our dream house was littered with problems internally. From the plumbing issues to the lack of A/C, the amount of work for us with this house was way too much to handle! Buying a brand-new, up-to-date air conditioner system is not a cheap investment, no matter what kind of A/C unit you get. While buying a home is costly, we knew that we didn’t have any left in the budget for cooling! The two of us decided to just to leave our dream cabin behind, and look for a house that definitely had cooling and functional plumbing – ideally in a better neighborhood.
