My roommate absolute couldn’t stand not having an air conditioner.
We moved into an apartment, and we quickly realized that there was no central air conditioner in the house.
I didn’t have an air conditioner while I was growing up, so it didn’t really bother me to have no air conditioner in the house. I told my roommate that she could purchase an air conditioner if she wanted to, but I wasn’t going to pay for the air conditioner. I didn’t really care about having an air conditioner. She decided to purchase two air conditioners, and she put one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I didn’t get one for my bedroom, because I honestly didn’t care to have one. However, I was sitting in the living room one day while the air conditioner was running, and my roommate got made. She demanded that I pay for half of the air conditioner since I was sitting in the living room and enjoying it. I was livid! I didn’t make the decision to purchase the air conditioner, and she doesn’t have the right to kick me out of the living room because she put an air conditioner there. I pay my share of the electric bill, which would cover the use of the air conditioner in both her room and the living room. There was no way that I was going to pay for half of the air conditioner. That girl must be completely out of her mind if she thinks that I will obey her in this area.
