It suddenly hit me that she was doing the same to me that I had done to her ten years ago when I was trying to get my HVAC company up off the ground
I was all for my wife going out and doing her own thing. I told her that if she wanted to get a job, it was up to her. I had no problem with her working. I didn’t expect her to take me literally and get into HVAC as her choice of career. I am an HVAC technician and I wasn’t about to have her working in my company. She just smiled and told me she could get a job in another HvAC company. She didn’t have to grovel to her husband so she could have a job. I stayed home while she went to school and earned her certification. When she got a job in a competing HVAC company, I had to admit that I wasn’t taking it very well. I didn’t like how they had her doing night work and weekend work. I wanted her to be home with us. We had birthday parties coming up and we had our tenth anniversary coming up. I had planned a party and now I wasn’t sure if she would be working or able to join us. It suddenly hit me that she was doing the same to me that I had done to her ten years ago when I was trying to get my HVAC company up off the ground. The difference was that now, I had my HVAC company up and running. She didn’t need to be working for a competing HvAC company. I guess that is my fault since I told her I didn’t want her working for me and now she is working against me.
