I thought it was an exciting moment when my son actually saved up his money for a new window A/C unit. That was the deal I made with him, that he could have one if he worked hard for it. I gave him all kinds of chores around the house and he took care of the chores without a fuss. When I brought him the new window A/C unit, he was as excited as could be. I immediately had my heart sink when I realized that it had to be the window A/C unit crashing to pieces outside. I went up to my son’s bedroom to see what happened and he was just standing there stunned and said he didn’t mean to drop the window A/C unit out of the window. He was pretty upset, but I told him I would take care of it. I felt it was just as much my fault for not helping him install the thing. So I bought a new one after we cleaned up the mess. Fortunately, we got a discount on the new one after turning the broken one back in. We worked together to hook it up, and it works better than ever!
