I really wanted to complain, but I wasn’t going to say anything
My wife and I went to see some friends that we had not seen since college. They offered to let us stay in their condo, but my wife and I had not seen them in a while and we thought it was probably better to have a place that was our own. We rented a room from a hotel close to the address of their condo. We went to the hotel early and the room was not ready for checking. We went to grab some lunch at a deli that was close to the hotel. We left our car in the parking lot and walked to the location. When we came back, our room was finally ready. We went upstairs and then took the hall all the way to the east corridor. After that we took the elevator up to the 7th floor where our room was located. The first thing my wife and I noticed when we walked into the room was the smell. The room smells very musty and a lot like mildew. We didn’t want to turn on the climate control system, but we really didn’t have a choice. The smell in the room was awful. The air conditioner helped a great deal. I took a shower but there was barely any hot water. I really wanted to complain, but I wasn’t going to say anything. Then the AC started making noises. When we didn’t have any AC, I called the front desk and requested they switch our room. I could deal with one or two problems, but I wasn’t going to go without the AC system.
