Jack and David wanted to go to the club on Friday night.
- Jack broke up with his girlfriend on Tuesday and he was hoping to meet someone at the club to help heal his broken heart.
I worked a full shift on Friday and I really wasn’t in the mood to go dancing. The guys dragged me out of the house anyway. Inside the club, I was having fun for a while. The guys bought me some drinks and I was chilling at the bar talking to a guy that works for an HVAC repair service. The guy was really cute and he had a great smile. I found out that the guy’s name was Gus. Gus bought me a drink and we talked for a while. Unfortunately, it was too hot to sit at the bar in the club. I mentioned going outside to get out of the heat. Once we got outside, the guy couldn’t stop talking about the broke down HVAC unit that he had worked on earlier that day. The guy was totally obsessed with his job. I don’t mind listening to someone talk about work, but this guy seemed like the HVAC industry was his life. I asked about his family and he mentioned their furnace problems. I asked him about his childhood and he talked for five minutes about how he knew HVAC work was his passion and future. I asked one too many questions and he never stopped talking. We exchanged phone numbers at the end of the night, but I honestly don’t think that I will ever give him a call for a date.
