The last time my wife and I went to a hotel, we had a huge problem with the air conditioner in the room.
It had problems all three days that we stayed in the hotel.
The national chain gave us credit for two of those days after we complained about the air conditioning problems to the corporate office. We were allowed to use our two free nights anywhere we wanted. There were several options close and some were in places where my wife and I had never been. We decided to go out to the river where the lighthouse is located. Got a hotel room for 2 days and we only had to pay the taxes. We stayed at a luxurious and beautiful hotel with a great view of the river and it only cost my wife and I $13 a night. We also had free room service as part of our apology package. My wife had snow crab legs and I had a big steak. Both of us had salads and a bottle of wine to share. The meal was complementary and we took advantage of everything that the place had to offer. We did not have any problems with the air conditioner in that hotel. In fact, we didn’t even have a wall air conditioner. This particular room was equipped with a thermostat and had central heating and cooling. It was easily the nicest hotel I have stayed in in a while. I loved the view of the river. We were probably close enough to hit the water with a long fishing pole.
