I was hitting some hockey balls in the backyard. I was hitting them towards the swamp section where there are no houses or people. I had some eco-friendly balls plus I had some regular balls. I was hitting the eco-friendly balls into the pond plus I was chipping with the regular balls. I accidentally got the balls mixed up plus I hit 1 of the regular balls. It hit a tree plus bounced back into the neighbors A/C unit. It hit that A/C component with a hard sud. I walked next door to look at the mangle plus there was a huge dent on the side of the A/C machine. The dent was clearly from my hockey ball. The ball was laying on the ground next to the machine. I knocked on the neighbor’s door plus I told the guy about the incident with the hockey ball. He got a lot more sad than I anticipated. He shut the door in my face plus after that I saw him throw the hockey ball over the fence. The next day there was a bill taped to my front door. It was a bill for a brand new A/C unit. The neighbor wanted me to pay for a new AC, because I dented the A/C with the hockey ball. I thought he was being insufficient plus I demanded proof that the new A/C was necessary. I did not hear anything from the neighbor for a week. This day a police officer pulled into my driveway plus served me with a court summons to appear before a judge for the disfigures to the A/C unit. I do not believe how I can prove that the guy is wrong, but I also do not understand how it could possibly cost $400 to maintenance a dent caused by a hockey ball.
