Things can get pretty awkward at times in a group meeting.
I run a book club where we talk about the books we are reading! All of us read the same books, but then there are other books we recommend to the other members of the group.
The thing is, we sporadically don’t agree on the temperature control settings in our meeting places. We meet at multiple households and officially the owner of the location will have favorite temperature control settings. Any requests for changes to the settings lead to a fight. When people meet at my place, I tend to put it all to a vote. I absolutely don’t love having to adjust the temperature control settings for other people at my own house, although I guess it’s honorable to the rest of the group. However, other than fighting over temperature controls, I suppose the rest is fine. All of us have some pretty nice talks about incredible books. I have proposed some pretty nice books to other members of the group. I’m just cheerful that the two of us don’t have to spend time reading the books together, that would be a nightmare. I love laying by the fireplace reading my books. Occasionally, I will even turn on the AC to balance the heat in my current home because I love using the fireplace even when it’s not chilly. I’m sure the others would say that I am ridiculous for using the fireplace when it’s not needed.
