Things can awkward at times in a group setting.
I have a book club that I visit.
where we talk about the books that all of us are reading. We regularly go through the same books, however, then there are other books that we recommend for the members. But the issue is that we don’t easily agree on the temperature control settings in our meetings. We meet at different houses and the owner has preferred temperature control settings. When somebody asks for the temperature control settings to be adjusted, everybody starts arguing about whether they should be changed or not. When people meet at my venue, I tend to put it all to a vote. I really don’t love having to adjust the temperature control settings for other people at my house, but I believe it’s fair to the rest of the group. Other than fighting over temperature control, I feel that everything is mostly fine. We have some pretty fantastic talks about some incredible books. I have recommended some pretty fantastic books for the members. I’m just cheerful because all of us don’t have to spend time reading books together, which would be a nightmare. I like sitting by the fireplace reading my books, sometimes I will even turn on the air conditioner to balance the heat in my lake house because I prefer using the fireplace even when it’s not cold. I’m sure the others would say that I am silly for using the fireplace when it’s not needed.
