Last year, someone kept giving us random HVAC units. I thought it was the nicest thing when it first started. It all started one hot summer day. My window air conditioner stopped working and I was going to take it to the heating and cooling business and py for them to fix it, but that evening when I got home from work I found a surprise on my porch. There on my porch was a brand new window air conditioner with a small note on it. The note read “I heard you needed a new window air conditioner, hope you enjoy this one.” I was so surprised by the new window air conditioner and I had no idea who had left it for me. I happily took out my old, broken window air conditioner and installed the new window air conditioner. The next week my hot water boiler stopped working and I had no heating system for two days. I had three portable space heaters to help keep me warm, but on the first day one of the space heaters stopped working. One evening, I got a knock at my front door. I opened the door and on my porch was a new hot water boiler with a note that read “I hope you like it.” I was thankful for this act of kindness, but also a little creeped out. I called the heating and cooling store and an HVAC technician came and Installed the new hot water boiler for me. It was nice to once again have a heating system in my home. I never did find out who was giving me the HVAC units, but I am still so thankful for them.
