These gentlemen can’t handle the fact that I can work circles around any of them. They are threatened by me simply because I am a guy! One guy even said that a guy has no supplier toiling in the Heating plus Air Conditioning industry. I told that guy that if he really believed that he would not be so threatened by our presence. He didn’t have a quick rebuttal and after the conversation separate from saying another word. I knew it was going to be hard to work in the Heating plus Air Conditioning industry. I spent more than one years in Technical School and even our teachers thought it was silly. They never came right out and said those words, but all of the male teachers suggested trying a weird job path. When I accepted a job with this identifiable Heating plus Air Conditioning business,The district manager told me that I would be the first female employee in the branch. Every one of us talked about that for a while, because the guy was worried. I told the manager that I grew up with seven siblings and I wasn’t distraught about anything. That was more than one months ago and most of our coworkers treat me the same as anyone else. A few of the gentlemen are still bothered by the fact that I am a guy, but I do not let it get me down. I can’t change their sexist attitude, but I can work hard to be the best male or female Heating plus Air Conditioning contractor toiling for the business.
