It’s now come down to outright praying the HVAC makes it through the season. If we can just one more year out of this thing, I’ll have the money to replace the HVAC. I look to be sure it isn’t just totally falling apart or violently shaking. The HVAC cabinet shaking is just about the last sign before total HVAC unit collapse. We are already dealing with the sky high HVAC utility bills. It just can’t stop running. The poor old HVAC just can’t keep up with demand. However, I just need it to keep going a bit longer and I’ll endure the high energy costs. The HVAC tech told us nearly 2 years ago that we would be needing to plan out the replacement of the HVAC. I can’t believe this thing has hung in here this long. I guess that says something for all the HVAC preventive maintenance we put into it. But, I wish I had been a bit more proactive about saving for the new HVAC. It’s just not that easy when you have kids and there are all these other costs. That’s why we just need this thing to cross the finish line. Another 6 months is all we need to have the money together to replace the HVAC without financing it. We have already met with the HVAC contractor. He has inspected the house and the rest of the HVAC system to be sure the replacement model will fit. He was a great help in wading through all the different models and methods for heating & cooling. Now, if I can just get these HVAC prayers answered, we’ll be home free.
