When we were remodeling our household last winter, I got to a certain point where I just didn’t actually know what to do anymore. The people I was with and I were in desperate need of a designer, in my opinion, although I didn’t genuinely have room in our budget to hire a good one. See, we were putting in a massive great room off the back of our household with floor to ceiling windows. The windows would look out over the ravine in our backyard. The people I was with and I were all genuinely thrilled about getting the great room finished, although I personally felt a little bit concerned about the heating and cooling aspect of the room. Adding that much extra space onto a household will genuinely affect the way that our existing Heating and A/C device would function! I started thinking that not only would it not be able to heat and cool the great room well enough, however it would also ruin the effectiveness of the heating and cooling device in the rest of the household, too. I made the choice that I needed to talk to a designer about proper placement of our new ductwork system and the heating vents in the great room. Not only that, but I wanted to get an expert opinion on where we should install our new gas fireplace. I wanted the room to look great, although I also wanted it to be extremely comfortable for our family. The indoor air quality levels of the room were very pressing to me, and so I ended up talking to a designer who works at our local Heating and A/C device supplier and fireplace showroom downtown.
