Have you ever had it where you have such an intense memory attached to something? I do, and while most people have it with songs, places or other such things, mine is actually HVAC technology.

Why? Because my first boyfriend and romance, he was a HVAC specialist.

My first relationship was definitely one of the most intense in my life, and so some of the smallest things remind me of him. There were a lot of things he shouldn’t have done as a HVAC professional, such as sneaking me inside the building for some alone time together, and other such things. Now whenever I deal with HVAC servicemen, I can’t help but to have all of those memories coming back. Really, something as simple as a heating and cooling commercial can bring all of those memories back. I was so in love with my boyfriend, I thought that we would eventually get married, but it wasn’t meant to be, as he died before we could ever make those kinds of plans. Maybe that’s why the memories remain so strong, because I’ll never know the ending to our story, what could have been. Anyways, when I had regular HVAC maintenance on my heater and A/C, I had the same thing of all of the memories coming back to me again as I talked to the HVAC tech. I watched him work on the air conditioner and the furnace, just like my boyfriend used to. I almost want to marry a HVAC worker, even though I know it won’t change anything.
