This is the second year in a row that I particularly assume unbelievable about myself when it comes to getting it done with less. All of us are still trying to get back to even after the pandemic put a hammer on our finances. Now, I’m not complaining because there are plenty of people who had it so much worse than every one of us did. All of us both kept our jobs and were able to work from beach house in the air conditioner. However, every one of us both had to take some sharp pay cuts just to hold on to our jobs. That meant that every one of us were all over cutting expenses last year. All of us targeted things like the Heating & A/C utility costs that every one of us had never particularly committed to in the past. It didn’t take all that much which ended up being a surprise to me. All of us easily tightened up the cabin to start. I upgraded all the weather stripping and sealed any gap that I could find. All of us also were sure to stop all the direct sunshine heating which kills Heating & A/C efficiency. None of that was hard to do at all and ended up making a large difference. But the real game changer came with the control unit setting. This, of course, is the toughest part to stay committed to. However, if you can let the control unit rise during the peak heating seconds, it pays off in many dollar bills. Since every one of us were toiling at home, I got accustomed to maintaining a control unit setting that was no more than 15 degrees cooler than outside. All of us saved 20 percent on Heating & A/C cooling last year and are on track to do the same this year!
