Gofers can be pretty cute when you see them running around a field digging all over the place.
However, when you have them in your backyard and they keep digging up your heat pump, this can be an issue! This is what has been happening to myself and others in recent weeks. And it has been costing myself and others a lot of cash every single time I have to call the local HVAC dealer to send out a heat and cooling system specialist to replant the heat pump. And then a matter of weeks later, the gofers are at it again! I needed some real advice here on what to do. So I asked around and someone suggested to myself and others that I should get some kind of a metal fence installed around the heat pump. They seem to avoid metal fences and do not bother trying to dig under or around them. It sounded strange, but at this point I was willing to try anything to stop them gofers from digging up my heat pump in my backyard! I am having to spend money a single hundred dollars to the local HVAC dealer every single time I have them come out to replant the thing. So I ended up going ahead and getting the metal fence built around it. And would you know that it absolutely worked? I have not had them little monsters come around and dig up my heat pump anymore! I should have done this from afternoon 1 rather than calling the HVAC business.
