My wife and I went to a hotel for our anniversary.
It was a hotel that we have visited in the past.
My wife and I have always had a wonderful time. The hotel is located near the state park where the river and the mountain meet. The views are absolutely breathtaking and there are many hiking trails from the hotel area to the state park. My wife and I checked into the hotel on a Tuesday morning. We were a few hours early, but we were prepared to wait. The hotel clerk told us that it would take an hour for our room to be prepared. He asked us to wait in the lobby and enjoy some lunch from the cafe on site. About 30 minutes later, the desk clerk came to our table and gave us some bad news. The room we were scheduled to rent had a problem with the heating and air conditioning system. The maid noticed the problem with the climate control unit and called the maintenance staff. Unfortunately, they were unable to fix the problem with the heating and air conditioning system. They needed to prepare another room for the two of us and that meant we had to wait an additional 2 hours. My wife and I were very upset and concerned that the second room would also have issues. Since the hotel desk clerk was extremely nice and gave us a complimentary lunch, we decided to stay and wait for our reservations.The second room was on a lower level and closer to our vehicle, so we really didn’t mind waiting at all.
