For the past 3 afternoons I had been carefully seeing a storm that was being monitored in our area.
- In the start I was not all that worried because I did not suppose that it would affect myself and others that much.
However, as the afternoons went on and I began to become more and more upset as I saw that the storm was getting worse and worse and intensity and then as if it couldn’t get worse than that, the storm developed into a full-blown hurricane. The path of the hurricane changed and it was going to be heading straight over our area. My town issued an emergency evacuation order and I had no other option but to leave. I did not want to leave but it was what I needed to do to ensure our own safety. I traveled a distance away and for the time being stayed in a hotel. It was 2 afternoons later that I was able to return loft and I was worried as I was heading back as I was unsure as to what I would see. When I arrived back loft I was relieved to see that our loft was still standing in one piece. The first thing is to get comfortable and turn on our heating and cooling plan but I found out that our HVAC plan was not laboring. This was exhausting and I contacted our local heating and cooling supplier immediately and they sent out a cooling specialist to take a look at our a/c unit. I l earned that our a/c plan has been disfigured in the storm and it would need to be repaired. Thankfully I was lucky because the injure was not extreme and the cooling specialist was suddenly able to service the broken parts and once again I was able to have a laboring a/c in under an hour.
