We had been planning for my friend’s bachelor party for days now. We had a last-minute setback at the house where the party was being held, the radiant floor heating in the living room was not warming the space adequately. One of my friends called the local service provider and the heating contractor he talked to said that the only time they would be available to make a house call was in the afternoon. My friend insisted that they come much earlier since we had an event later in the evening but they could not since their team was currently finishing up an electric heat pump installation in a house across town and would not be done until noon. We had restarted the central heater several times but still, the problem persisted. The house had a zone control system and it was only the living room that had a problem. At around noon the doorbell rang and I knew it had to be one of the guys but one opening the door I was met by three gorgeous women. For a minute I stood there stunned, not saying a single word until one of the ladies pointed to the logo for the whole-home heating business on her jacket. Only then did it dawn on me that she was the heating technician we were expecting. I gave them a brief of what the issue was and they said that they would check the entire electric heating system. It turned out that the unit had been neglected, a furnace/heater tune-up had not been done in a while and now it needed a furnace heater repair for the temperature control system to work properly. All now that was needed was to reset the digital thermostat and apply the energy-saving tips they gave us.
