I was heading to work the other day and I was passing by all my neighbors houses as I normally do as I’m driving out of my neighborhood and onto the main street.

When I was passing by my neighbor’s house I noticed that many people had their trash cans out because it was trash day. I couldn’t help but to notice when driving past one of the trash cans I saw what looks like an air conditioning system shoved into one of the garbage bins. I immediately pulled over and stopped to take a look at it and I was amazed by what I saw. It was a perfectly good window air conditioning system sitting in the garbage can. Somebody was just throwing it away! I decided to go ahead and take it since it was being tossed out anyways and I put it in the back of my car my neighbor saw and made a comment but he didn’t care and told me that I could have it. I took it home and suddenly in my house before leaving once again and heading off to work. When I came back home hours later I got straight to work on cleaning it. It was a bit moldy and smelly but after a good cleaning it was brand new again. The final test was seeing if it actually works and sure enough once I plugged it in it turned on right away. I was so happy that I just got a free air conditioner! It is definitely a keeper and I plan on using it for quite a long time.
