The bookkeeper was back from lunch and she found my account and the invoice

A couple of months ago, the air conditioner stopped blowing cold air. My wife and I turned off the system for a couple of hours and the machine returned to normal. We didn’t have any further problems, so we never contacted a repair service to handle the damage. A few weeks later, we had problems with the air conditioner again and we needed to contact the repair service again. The bill for the repairs to the air conditioner were $375. My wife and I paid for the repairs with our credit card. We got the statement about a week later and we noticed two charges for the same amount. I contacted the heating and air conditioner repair service first. I hoped it was a mistake instead of that. The owner didn’t have anyone in the office at the time and he asked me to call back later to talk to the bookkeeper. I decided to contact the credit card company since I had to wait to speak with someone from the heating and air conditioner repair service. The credit card company told me that this type of thing happens frequently. She urged me to have the company handle it instead of the credit card company. I hung up the phone feeling dissatisfied with both places. I waited until 2 and I called the service company again. The bookkeeper was back from lunch and she found my account and the invoice. The billing error was accidental and the woman refunded the charge and even offered to send me a check if the credit card company gave me any trouble.
