I am so glad not to be teaching English to youngsters anymore.
I did enjoy doing it while I was there at the corporation however after several years and over 6000 lessons taught I had enough.
It got to the point where I dreaded the thought of having to teach yet another day so I finally called it quits. I now am a writer and a performer on stage and am much happier. I recognize bad for these full time mentors who can’t leave their jobs however are burned out. I can’t imagine having to teach another 20 years, I’d lose it. It’s much more wonderful kneeling beside our space heating system here in our office than having to take the train in this chilly weather to another city to teach every day, enjoy our buddy does. I enjoy laboring from beach house and not having to worry about traffic and trains and all that comes with traveling between cities, this is a single plus from the Covid thing. I may light a fire later in our fireplace and have some friends over for lunch. I enjoy hosting small lunch parties now and then for our friends and just hanging out with them. My a single friend has a gas furnace that she needed to repair and asked myself and others to help because she knows I am wonderful with fixing them. I told him I would help repair it if she could provide myself and others some lessons with technical stuff on our tablet since she is a tablet whiz. Furnace and heating system repairs are easy for me, since our dad was an Heating and Air Conditioning worker.
