It has been almost three weeks now since my favorite coffee shop closed down so that they could do a bunch of repair work on their HVAC system.

When they first heard that they were closing down, I was in shock. I thought that they meant that they were closing permanently and I did not know what I was going to do if that was the case! They are my very favorite coffee shop, and I go there nearly every day before I go to work. It’s basically my favorite hangout, and I really love their pastries and donuts. I almost started crying when I read the notice that said they were going to be closing down. But then I talked to the manager and he told me about the issues that they had been having with their heating and cooling system. He said that they really needed to get the whole entire thing revamped so that they would have great indoor air quality for their employees and for their customers. The problem with that was the fact that all of the ventilation ducts are in the ceiling and so that was going to be a huge mess and a big undertaking to get everything replaced and up to speed again. He said that’s why they had to make a plan to shut down the whole thing until the HVAC renovations were done. I was peeking in the windows the other day, and it looks like everything is almost finished. I can’t wait for the grand reopening of the coffee shop! I bet the indoor air quality is going to be just as fantastic as the donuts now.
