Over the summer, we stayed in a very modern hotel. It was unlike any other hotel that I’ve ever been in before. It was very mid-century like, and it had a feeling of the atomic age, I guess you could say. I really liked the vibe that it had, but it was a little bit weird I have to say. Unlike most hotels that I have stayed in in the past, this one did not have one of the built-in heating and cooling systems in the window where you could turn the temperature up and down with a dial. Instead of this sort of HVAC system, the hotel had something called a ductless mini split HVAC system installed in the wall. The HVAC system was so sleek and modern looking that I barely even noticed that it was there until I found the remote control for it on the nightstand. Whenever I saw the remote, I was struck by how modern and new it looked. I can’t really explain the way it looked except to say that it was almost like something from the future. It looked like something from outer space. As far as the way that it worked, I really liked the indoor air quality in the hotel. I thought that the ductless mini split HVAC system was amazing. The indoor air quality in our room was fantastic, and the temperature was regulated very nicely with the little HVAC unit. I was very impressed with it. I’m actually thinking about getting one for our three season room at home now that we have tried one out.
