The most pressing one in our mind is the auto-shutoff switch whenever the device detects a clog in the condensate line. In aged a/cs, the device would leak water if the condensate line got obstructed because the water would have nowhere to go for exiting the house. With the new safety switch, the system turns off completely if it detects water coming backwards in the condensate line. This is an extremely handy feature if you aren’t relaxing about cleaning your condensate line correctly.
