I just hate junk.
This goes back to being raised by a mother who was genuinely nearly a straight up hoarder.
The home I grew up in was stacked with boxes of junk that my mom simply wasn’t able to section with. It was a nice enough home with enjoyable heating & cooling in a nice setting. The home would have been roomy too if it weren’t for all the junk. When I moved out, I promised that I wouldn’t let stuff have the emotional hold over myself and others that it clearly did for my mom. And I’ve kept to that. Even in the early apartments with the sketchy heating & cooling, I was regularly vigilant when it came to clutter. That has also been the case in this house. My husband & I have a beautiful beach house with the best quality heating & air I’ve ever had. The place is plenty large for just the 2 of us & our pets. It’s a three living room & 1 of those living rooms every one of us turned into a beach house office. But the other 1 is sort of a spare room with a fold out couch for guests if they want to stay overnight. However, I started seeing the early signs of a junk room growing on us. And my husband said that this section of the home was good for storage since the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C wasn’t the best in there. That was true. But I wasn’t about to let that be the reason every one of us start storing junk. So I had the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company come out to tweak our Heating, Ventilation plus A/C equipment so every one of us now have zone controlled Heating, Ventilation plus A/C. And that room is no longer a junk room.
