My girlfriend and I got into a really big argument and she asked me to spend the night in a hotel instead of in our apartment.

I didn’t want to fight anymore that evening, so I agreed to leave the house.

There aren’t a lot of hotels close to my neighborhood, so I had to travel quite a distance before I found a place. I took a single suit with me for work the next day. I checked into the hotel room and it was almost midnight at that time. I planned to lay down and get a few hours of sleep so I could go to work in the morning. Unfortunately, the sound of the heater kept me awake most of the night. It was very loud and the machine rattled and shook every single time the heater came on. I contacted the guy at the front desk, but he didn’t have any answers for me. He offered to move me to a different room, but it was already the middle of the night and I just wanted to get some sleep. I decided to turn the heater off to stop the noise. About 4:30 in the morning, I woke up because it was absolutely freezing in the room. I turn the heater on for a couple of hours. I was so tired by this point that the sound of the heater did not keep me awake. The same guy was at the front desk when I left in the morning. I reminded the guy that I called to complain about the heater and he gave me half off of my hotel fees for that evening.
