My brother has a lot of money.
He works his butt off and travels all the time to afford the gorgeous house that he does. I find it funny he works so hard for his amazing house to then leave it to me. I am constantly house sitting for him. It makes sense because I can walk his dog, water his plants, put chemicals in the pool and make sure there are no packages out front. I get to live the high life at least once a month. Recently my stay wasn’t as good. My brother updated his HVAC equipment. Now everything is all on a smart pad. What this means is the lights, security cameras, heating, and cooling are all controlled by one pad. There are so many buttons that you can press. My brother gave me a quick tutorial before he left. He showed me how I can dim the lights in certain rooms. He now has zone control and showed me how my HVAC can be different in each room. He had the AC in the kitchen going while there was heating in the living room. He even adjusted the moisture levels, fan speeds and all sorts of things from that pad. After he did the quick instruction, he left. Well my brother left everything on low cooling mode, bright lights and the cameras on. I tried and tried to adjust to get more AC. I couldn’t turn off any lights. I couldn’t angle the cameras. I had to just deal with whatever he set for his house. I wasn’t as happy with my stay.
