When I was outside playing catch with our sons, it was pretty cold out there! I entirely had to run back inside the loft to make sure the heating system was turned on… The heating system wasn’t in love I thought and so I adjusted the control unit.
I figured that 76 degrees on the control component should be just fine.
I also put a sweater on because I didn’t want to be cold… Before I threw the ball to our son, I reminded him to keep his eye on the ball. I felt awful after saying that because I threw the difficult ball straight to him and it was going straight for his head. I thought he would catch the baseball, however instead he let it hit him in the face… When I ran to see if he was okay, I saw that the ball hit him square in the eye. I instantly took him back inside the loft where it was moderate and I gave him an ice pack to put on his eye as it was swelling up. I asked him if he felt as if anything was broken inside, although he said it wasn’t too bad. I know it’s genuinely terrible because his eye is black and swollen, it almost looks almost as if he was punched in the face. I ended up taking him to the hospital so he could be inspected for a concussion. I also didn’t want him to go to sleep anytime soon if that was the case. I was definitely ecstatic when he was okay, however the hospital was kind of freezing, so all of us couldn’t wait to get back to our new home where the heating system was finally working.
