I’m easily taking advantage of all these devices in my life.
When I refer to devices, I mean the phones, the tablets and the many computers that are all so much a part of my life, but a decade ago, I was still against even carrying a flip phone. And I sort of resented all the technology I had to learn just to do our job inside the commercial heating and cooling of our office. So I’ve begrudgingly adapted to the fact that technology is here to stay! But now, I’m just going to begin using it more in order to help me get more stuff done. When it comes to being inside the central A/C of our home, I tend to shut my brain off, then I spend so much time inside the zone controlled heating and cooling of my office, that I seem to just naturally click off when I come home. And while I think it’s important to have a work/life balance, I think maybe I take it a bit too far. That’s because there are a whole lot of things to do around this home and I tend to forget them. It’s not fair to my fiance to have to remind myself all the time to do the stuff that is easily my responsibility. So that’s where this new strategy with all our devices comes into play. I’ve begun setting alerts for things like changing the heating and cooling filter. I’ve also been busy in alerts weeks in advance for heating and cooling repair as well. If I do not maximize and utilize the technology I have, I’m not going to make stuff care about the heating and cooling chores a priority. And since I have all this technology, I might as well make fantastic use of it. Besides, the heating and cooling inside our apartment is essential to our comfort.
