I knew I had another air filter in the box that I kept in the basement. I had changed the air filter to the air conditioning unit about six weeks ago and there was still one more air filter in the box. I thought maybe I was going crazy, as I looked in the box not once, but three times. I called my sister to tell her I thought I was going crazy. She asked me if maybe I had a giant mouse that stole it. I said a nasty work and hung up on her as she began to laugh. I figured I would go to town to get a box of air filters, but the car wasn’t home. I remembered the mechanic had picked the car up early in the morning. He was going to fix a cracked windshield and go over the climate control system. I knew he should have my car back any time now, so I decided I would take the numbers off the AC air filter box, so they matched. The mechanic showed up half an hour later. I got in the car and went for the air filters. I got home and I was ready to scream. There was a full box of air filters sitting up on the shelf. I stood there scratching my head and ready to scream. I looked at the box of air filters I had in my hands and the ones up on the shelf. All of a sudden, something touched my arm and I did scream. My husband had come back early from his maneuvers and he was playing a trick on me.
