About 6 months ago, my family and I had got radiant heated floors installed into our living room area.
We just recently had all tile floors put in, so we figured getting radiant heated floors would be a good HVAC upgrade and money saver to heat our home.
The radiant heated floors we got saved us around two hundred dollars in total throughout the Winter on our electric bills, which was great! Now, with the Summer coming within a few weeks, the central air conditioning system will be running all the time, and our electric bills are going to go through the roof! I really wish they had air conditioning or some kind of cooling that came up through the floors like they do with the heating. That is some HVAC technology that no one has been able to invent or even think about yet. I know they have ductless mini split air conditioning systems, which could do the same as the radiant heated floors in energy savings. However, with the ductless mini split air conditioning systems, they will not heat a whole home with just one ductless air conditioning unit. I would need to buy at least 3 of those ductless mini split air conditioning systems to not have to use my central heating and air conditioning system throughout the Summer. In the long run, although the electric bills are going to be very high like I said, it would still be cheaper to keep what I have, instead of buying a few ductless mini split air conditioning systems. Those ductless air conditioning systems are not cheap like space heaters are, unfortunately.
