A long time ago when I upgraded my HVAC system, I was just going to let the HVAC company take the old HVAC unit.
- My friend was there to stop me though.
He was asking me if I knew how valuable a lot of the parts were in the HVAC unit. The HVAC technician seemed a little agitated that my friend stopped me. I didn’t know, I thought it was just useless junk at that point. He said that I could make a good amount of money just by selling a lot of the parts. Then I could scrap the rest for a reasonable amount of money. So I ended up keeping the old HVAC unit and my friend helped me to sell all the parts. I was really shocked at how much money we ended up making. Sure, we didn’t sell everything right away, but he was right, the HVAC parts were entirely valuable. All kinds of people are always looking for certain HVAC parts that they need and they will pay good money for the parts. So after that experience, I ended up going with my friend to collect HVAC parts. After awhile, I learned what was really valuable and I started making pretty good money with my friend in this little business. I still worked a regular job for a long while, but eventually we were making so much money just selling HVAC parts, I decided to quit my regular job and do this full time. Now we even have a little shop together where we are able to sell our HVAC parts from.
