I got into a pretty dumb argument with a friend of mine over air filters for central heating and air conditioning systems the other week.

I can not even tell you how the actual argument started.

But somehow we were arguing over air filters being different when it came to brands of air filters. My argument was that a brand really didn’t matter in my experience. All air filters for your central heating and air conditioning system will last the same amount of time. And also, all air filters for your central heating and air conditioning unit will have to be changed around the same time as well. My friend was trying to tell me that some brands of heating and air conditioning filters will not have to be changed for several months! While this is not entirely wrong, it is also not true. Sure you can leave air filters in your central heating and air conditioning system for over a year if you wanted to. It really will not kill your central heating and cooling unit. Nor will it kill you. However it may make the indoor air quality not so great. And you may end up finding yourself having daily allergy symptoms if you are someone who suffers from regular allergies. Finally me and my pal stopped going back and fourth on this subject because it was getting to be very redundant. So we pretty much just settled on the fact that the two of us would just agree to disagree if you get my point?
