I know that wasn’t what he wanted to hear. I know he wanted me to agree to call the heating supplier and make an appointment to get a current gas furnace in the house. She gave me a terribly dirty look when I recommended wearing more clothes instead. She has been complaining about the heat in the house for weeks. All of us really need a current gas furnace for the house, despite the fact that I do not want to spend the money, but christmas is only multiple weeks away and I do not want to replace the gas furnace until after the holidays are over. I called multiple odd Heating, Ventilation plus A/C companies and each 1 of the guys told me that the gas furnace needed to be updated. I was really hoping someone would be able to repair the machine, however it’s just too old. They each gave me an estimate for the current method and upgrade fees and it’s outrageous. There’s just no way that we can afford to make the swings and still buy gifts for all the people on the Christmas shopping list, and for now, the best thing we can do is buy a small space gas furnace for the residing room. It will take some of the cold chill out of the room and help downstairs and it won’t cost a fortune. That should get us through the holidays. In January, we can reassess the situation. Perhaps then will be a better time to make the luxurious however necessary purchase.
